Bristol Opera is looking for a volunteer Stage Manager for our upcoming production of Verdi’s Macbeth!
We’re seeking an organised and calm individual to coordinate backstage activity during our technical and dress rehearsals, as well as throughout the run of the show. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on an ambitious production with a talented and dedicated team. It may be most suitable for someone who is in training in Stage Management and is looking to build their experience, or someone who has previously acted as a volunteer Stage Manager for community productions in the past.
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate all backstage activity during the tech, dress rehearsals, and performances
- Ensure smooth and efficient scene changes and manage backstage cues
- Manage the backstage coordination of props
- Maintain a calm and supportive presence behind the scenes
Required availability:
- Tech rehearsal: Monday 7 April (all day)
- Dress rehearsal: Tuesday 8 April (evening)
- Wednesday 9 April (evening)
- Friday 11 April (evening)
- Saturday 12 April (evening)
