Welcome to Bristol Opera!

 

Founded in 1923, we are Bristol’s largest amateur opera company – regularly presenting fully staged grand opera, complete with orchestra and sung in English.

We’re one big, music-loving family and we always love to welcome new members – find out more here! 

Whether you’re an aspiring professional, an amateur or have never been near an opera before, we have plenty of roles – both on-stage and off-stage – to suit your experience and interests.

Our Next Production

We’re excited to announce that we’ll be bringing Verdi’s Macbeth to Bristol in spring 2025!

Tickets are now ON SALE here.

Complete with stunning soloists, full orchestra and Verdi’s incredible music, we’re expecting this one to sell fast, so jump in ASAP – the best seats will be gone soon! 

Tickets range from £15-£25. Performances are Weds 9th, Fri 11th and Sat 12th April 2025, 7pm, in the theatre at Redland Hall, Redmaids’ High School, Westbury Road, Westbury on Trym, Bristol, BS9 3AW.
